Ethan Ruan Jing Tian, a Taiwanese model turned actor, has been in a number of idol dramas but in supporting roles only. It wasn’t until Fated To Love You, a 2008 Taiwanese idol drama, that Ethan Ruan’s potential as a lead role was tested. And what a success it turned out because Fated To Love You has reached high ratings for idol dramas.
Amongst his acting credits are Michael the Archangel's Dance in 2004, Green Forest, My Home in 2005, Hanazakarino Kimitachihe in 2006, Summer X Summer and Wayward Kenting in 2007. He even starred in several music videos of S.H.E., Stefanie Sun, Faye Wong and Cyndi Wang. He is close to Taiwanese actors Mike He and Joe Cheng for they all modeled in the same agency for a time and even attended the same school, the Hsing Wu College. He also is a good swimmer and his prowess as a swimmer can be seen in Fated To Love You first ever episode. With his charm and easy smile, it’s no wonder that he has a good disposition and goes along well with colleagues.
